On "Jack the Giant Slayer"

To its great credit, "Jack the Giant Slayer" isn't trying to be edgy or hip — it's just trying to be a good adventure yarn. And even if it isn't a great one, the sheer audaciousness of its own stubborn innocence is enough to carry it over the line.
