On "Contagion"

Soderbergh, the director behind "Traffic" and "Erin Brockovich," does an excellent job balancing emotional content with political intrigue, even if a few of its characters receive the short end of the stick (Marion Cotillard's WHO operative who gets kidnapped in Hong Kong is especially shortchanged). It's a razor sharp paranoid procedural that feels eerily real and, even more gnawingly, completely possible.Click here to read my full review.
