"Cloverfield"

I've been invited to participate in a conference call interview with members of the cast of J.J. Abrams' and Matt Reeves' Cloverfield (Paramount, 1.18) after a press screening next week.

I'm not sure if the resulting article will run here or at The Dispatch, but I'll be sure to give you the details regardless.

In the meantime, early reviews have been very kind to say the least, with Jeff Wells calling it "a complete original" and Harry Knowles calling it "a landmark genre film."

I've been looking forward to this one since that great first teaser trailer debuted last year. If it's anywhere near as original and frightening as that trailer...then this one is going to be something that will be remembered for a long time.
